Smt. Salunkabai Raut Arts & Commerce College Wanoja Dist. Washim has been imparting quality education to the students especially from socially and economically backward classes, since its foundation in 1984. The college is run by Dyanganga Shikshan Prasarak Sanstha Wanoja, which comprises the team of farmers and social workers with the mission to provide quality higher education to the students from rural area irrespective of Cast, Creed and Religion.
The college is affiliated to Snat Gadge Baba Amravati University Amravati. The Programs run by college are- B.A., B.com. M.A. (Marathi), M.Com (English and Marathi medium), Junior College and M.C.V.C. The College has facilities like as green campus , competent teaching and non-teaching Staff, NSS unit of 200 volunteers ,NCC unit of 52 cadets, Sport and Cultural department, ground with 200 meter running track , IQAC, Women Empowerment Cell, Anandi room ( Girls common room), Equal Opportunity Cell, Student Council, Remedial Coaching Center, Self Finance Courses ,Competitive Examination Center, Computer Lab, Internal Complaint Committee, ICT, Digital Library Facility, Smart Classrooms ,Gymnasium, Pure Drinking Water facility, Auditorium hall, with all facilities, premises of 5 acres of land.
The college was started with 77 student enrolled, at present there are 1000+ students enrolled.
The college had got accredited by NAAC in Jan. 2005 obtaining ‘C’ Grade in the first Cycle and reaccredited in Feb. 2019 securing ‘B’ Grade with CGPA 2.46.

Dhnyanganga Shikshn Prsarak Sanstha wanoja started to run the college Smt. Salunkabai Arts and Commerce College with the vision of providing higher quality education to the students of this village and the students of surrounding area. As there were no higher institutions at that time, the students had to go near about 100 km away to pursue the higher education such as B.A., B.Com, M.A. and M.Com. So a group of farmers came together and decided to provide higher education to the students of this area. They planted a plant of higher education from B.A. and B.Com and now I am happy to see that the plant has immensely grown in to a tree with blossoming flowers and fruits of higher education. I am also happy to know that thousands of students have availed the benefits of higher education from this institution. Now we have providing education from junior college to senior college. We have streams like MCVC Jr. College B.A., B.Com, M.A, and M.Com, YCMOU Study center with total 1000+ students enrolled. I wish further development of college.
